I’m an 18 year old Midwestern kid taking on the task of finding a career in storytelling. Also dealing with the blissful torrent of confusion that is early adulthood*.
I’ve got two careers in mind -
As an illustrator, I would like to work on artwork for comics primarily, but have more than a passing interest in concept art for video games, and animation. Right now I’m mostly focusing on increasing my base figure drawing and perspective skills, creating a strong foundation for later work in tone and color. In addition, I do much of my own writing, though I enjoy collaborating with devoted folks as well.
As the same time I’m developing ability in acting. Though I am searching for theatre training, my current goal is to develop a screen-friendly physique; I have found through experience that the two most important factors are the way you look and your ability to endure. Both of these will come through solid exercise and intelligent meal-planning.
*I still feel like a child.
